Reporter is a lightweight PDF generator for Android built using Jetpack Compose. The app was originally created exclusively for one specific client. However, it is fairly flexible and can be used to generate a wide variety of PDF documents by just importing a template and filling out the required input. Users can use the standard templates, purchase custom templates, or even write their own templates.

🏆 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 🏆
✅ Implemented innovative workarounds to support dynamic Jetpack Navigation Graphs and the loading of Android icon assets at runtime.
✅ Identified and resolved multiple bottlenecks and memory leaks using
Firebase Performance Monitoring, JMH benchmarks, and live profiling.
✅ Performed a thorough analysis of the iText library source code to determine all the necessary Proguard rules (due to the absence of official support).

This project is a web app created for an Algerian government administration, specifically the Youth and Sports Direction of Bejaia state, often called DJS ("Direction de la jeunesse et des sports"). The main responsibility of this administration, which operates directly under the Youth and Sports Ministry and the state's head (the "wali"), is to supervise the activities and performance of all sports clubs and cultural associations in the state and allocate the appropriate monetary aid to each association accordingly.

DJS-Bejaia

Al Baraka Net is a website providing numerous services to Al Baraka Bank's clients in Algeria. Nexatech was tasked with:
🎯 Implementing backend APIs for several new features requested by website administrators (including search, filtering, and grouping functionalities).
🎯 Optimizing the performance of the newly developed GraphQL API.

Leading a development team of four (including myself), I was able to deliver significant performance gains that were noticeable to both website admins and users.

🏆 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 🏆
✅ Implemented an efficient in-memory cache that achieved 72.4% higher throughput with similar latency compared to “ConcurrentSkipListMap”.
✅ Optimized the product performance on existing hardware, enabling the bank to cancel a planned infrastructure upgrade and avoid unnecessary hardware purchases, saving them significant costs and working hours.
✅ Developed comprehensive technical documentation explaining the rationale behind key design decisions (including trade-offs with alternatives), ensuring seamless knowledge transfer to bank maintainers and future developers.

Al Baraka net

The main goal of this project was to migrate a legacy bank application (Android app, iOS app, and backend) from its old RESTful APIs to a new GraphQL API. I was primarily responsible for migrating the Android app but also made significant contributions to the backend migration.

🏆 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 🏆
✅ Implemented appropriate algorithms and data structures for calculating money graph charts, leading to an average app startup time reduction of 23%.
✅ Migrated a legacy codebase of 89 KLOC from Java locks API to Kotlin Coroutines in just one week, implementing a custom ReadWrite Mutex.
✅ Achieved a significant reduction in an Android app bundle size (from 22.3 MB to 14.8 MB) through meticulous tuning to Proguard rules based on thorough code analyses.

AL BARAKA DZ

The government post offices in Algeria have effectively replaced the banks, and even the Algerian National Bank cannot compete with them. One of the consequences of this monopoly is empty bank agencies and unbelievably crowded post offices, especially on Saturdays (weekends) and from the 18th to the 22nd of every month (public service payment days).

This is where the idea of this project came from: a mobile app that keeps users updated on the real-time status of waiting queues at Algerian Post Offices, the users can receive a push notification or an SMS when their turn approaches.

A newly founded software development company called Cervex wanted to create a website, mostly a simple static website, but since they had a dozen clients with relatively small projects (a few Microsoft Access apps, a simple desktop utility used by accountants, etc) they wanted a page to track the progress of each project and allowing each client to follow updates on their product without having to call the company daily.
