Live TV Commercial Capture and Content Indexing System
• Built a system for building a dataset of commercials airing across 750+ live TV channels. It has indexed 1.5 million commercials across 7 countries
• Devised an algorithm to detect advertisements by identifying frequently repeating audio in TV Feeds. Implemented a sharding logic to scale lookup horizontally. It contributed 150+ unique advertisements daily
• Developed the framework for auto expiration of contents. Used Typescript interfaces to provide plugin support for adding custom deletion logic by team members. Reduced active commercials by 66% - resulting in data pipelines being 75% faster
• Engineered a system to ingest commercials from third-party and map the metadata to the internal namespace. Ingested over 100k+ commercials and was instrumental in expanding business to EU5 countries
