Apprenticeship

Creative development for campaign pitches, UK-based and European OOH campaigns. Branding design for a global brand in the car engine industry. Art direction and quality control of external retouchers and producers. Creation of on-brand design systems for UK clients, while ensuring application is up to standard. Development of assets and pieces of branding for established clients and pitches. Design of online campaigns for beverages and FMCG brands. Led client presentations based on own research and design development. Studio and design department duties, sometimes as part of a team and sometimes autonomously. Experienced using Midjourney with real client work.

Senior Designer / Design Lead

As part of the Birmingham Design BFFs scheme, I'm matched with mentees who are starting their career in design. We discuss career choices, progression, portfolio reviews, design tips, etc.

Mentor

Logo and identity design of small and mid-size businesses, print ad repros and a variety of posters, leaflets and brochures.

Design Apprenticeship

Brand development and design for a new Castrol oil product. My job included logo design, typographic exploration, art direction for a brand film and guidelines design, while being client-facing the entirety of the project.

Design Lead

Design direction for print campaigns and pitches, making sure visual consistency and high standards are maintained throughout the process. Developed brand new brands and look & feels for a diversity of clients, to whom I advised on matters of branding and visual identity. Presented creative work in-situ and remotely to client audiences on a regular basis, conveying design journey and creative ideas. Recruited, mentored and managed junior designers and interns.

Developed print campaigns, identities and assets for McDonald’s UK as well as playing a key role in brand consulting projects for McDonalds Global. These included complete CI and layout design, working alongside photographers and overseeing retouching and artworking. Created RFI documents, print ads and full campaign guidelines for clients including Special K, Škoda and Betfair. Redesigned Leo Burnett London’s CI and stationery. Recruited and interviewed graduate designers for design placement roles.

Senior Designer

Creation and conceptualisation of various corporate identities and development of a large range of corporate stationery, in addition to creating and personalising web and multimedia material. Design of several pieces for the art and the music industry. Over the course of those five years I engaged in projects ranging from publishing to web design, and the experience allowed me to work closely with clients and suppliers. Some of my work experience while freelancing included:
– Editorial work at a small publisher in South Kensington which involved cover design, editorial amendments and artworking. 
– Design and brand development of the brand identity book for Sellar Group, developers of The Shard building in London. 
– Working for Picture Ltd. I developed a Google International banner campaign for mobile devices in occasion of the FIFA World Cup 2010. Created a grid of scalable layouts and assets for various websites.

Designer

Carried out global print campaigns from brief to final completion, working on the design and art direction, plus oversaw retouching and artworking production. Worked on very diverse clients, including Unilever worldwide consumer brands like TRESemmé, Knorr, Signal, Domestos or Rexona, as well as other global or national accounts like Lenovo, Morrisons or Post Office.

Developed corporate identities, print ads, OOH’s as well as online campaigns for KIA and El Corte Inglés. Responsibilities as Site Art Director included development of usability, managing design and updating the government-led Madrid Council website madrid.org.

Junior Designer

Worked on several national reach advertising campaigns for clients including TRESemmé, Yamaha, Lynx/Axe, Dove, 3M, McGraw Hill Publishing, J&B and Captain Morgan. Developed corporate stationery and company brochures following set branding guidelines.
