Digital Difference

Small desktop application written in Java that allows users to add food products and corresponding allergens to a database. Afterwards it is possible to print a page with all product information for customers of a store.

As part of the course 'Web Applications IV' we were asked to build a website using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js). This project is a website masonry to master the Angular framework.

The website allows users to choose a region and then post messages for just that region (similar to a Facebook group for your municipality). The user can also post comments on messages from other users.

CityInfo

Pazaak is a card game from the Star Wars film series. In the course 'Projects & Workshops I' we were asked to reconstruct the game with our (still very limited) knowledge of Java. The 'Kolveniershof' Android and webapplications are applications made to guide mentally disabled people through their weekly planning at the day care institution (Ave Regina).

Users can log in anywhere to view their schedule and possibly provide comments. In the day care institution itself, supervisors can request the planning of each client and go over it with the client.

The supervisors can create new schedules for upcoming weeks. The webapplication contains a fully functional administration panel.

This project is part of the Project III: Mobile apps course for the Bachelor of Applied Informatics at the Ghent University College HoGent (Academic year 2019-2020).

Kolveniershof

Android and iOS applications to share police speed traps with other users.

Created to learn Android development using Kotlin and iOS development using Swift as part of the courses 'Native Apps I' and 'Native Apps II'.
Also experimented with Firebase as a backend service for the iOS application.
Used a NodeJS REST backend service for the Android application.

Web application for pupils and teachers in primary education.
The intention is that the students can playfully learn the subject matter. Digitizing this lightens the workload for the teacher.
