Created a Marble Run with 3 other people in a 2x2 ft area using 0.125 in thickness Cardboard.
To do the following I followed these steps:
.) Create individual 3D and 2D parts in solidworks. This included creating tracks, walls for tracks, supporting structures as well as Joints for supporting structures.
.) Created Lifting Mechanism (Youtube URL pasted)
.) Assembly of all structures in solidworks.
.) Conversion of 3D parts into 2D parts using solidworks and Adobe Illustrator.
.) Laser Cutting parts using a HELIX 75 W Laser Cutting printer.
.) Programming Servo motors and Stepper Motors, LED's, accelerometers and Line Sensors using Arduino shields as well as Customized UML shields along with breadboards for wire connections as required.
.) Assembly and testing of prototype marble run
.) Introduction of a small Acrylic, laser cut part to guide marbles into two different sets of tracks within the marble run
.) More testing and final touch up to be presented with working sensors and motors.
